On January 18, 2026, we invited you to a Social Ride with Pas Normal Studios as part of the January Resolution Challenge. The idea behind the ride was simple: immediately turn New Year's resolutions into action, brave the winter cold, and collectively kick off the new cycling year. The meeting point was Bikefactory, from where the group set off along the Alsterlauf towards northern Hamburg.

Best Cycling Weather, Despite January

Together Through Duvenstedter Brook

After riding out of the city, we reached the Duvenstedter Brook. There, a roughly ten-kilometer loop awaited, which you could ride multiple times depending on your motivation and desired distance. No one rode alone: the loops were completed together as a group. This flexible format allowed you to adjust the length of the ride to your winter fitness, without losing the communal spirit of the Social Ride.

A Successful Start to the Cycling Year

After the shared loops, the tour led back to the city as a closed group. Cold temperatures, a varied route, and many shared kilometers made the ride a successful start to the new season. The day once again showed that a special ride doesn't require perfect weather – but rather people who share their passion for cycling and ride together.
