Continental has been building tyres in Korbach for over a hundred years, and the Grand Prix 5000 has become the tyre most people ride without giving it much thought. We stock it in 28, 30 and 32 millimetres, plus the time-trial version, the Terra range for gravel, and inner tubes for just about anything that comes through our door.
Wider is usually right these days
Ten years ago 23 millimetres counted as fast. Today the same riders run 28 or 30, because a wider tyre at lower pressure rolls more calmly and loses less energy into the surface. What fits your bike depends on the rim and the frame — so we would rather measure once than sell you a set that does not clear.
