Bone conduction instead of a plug in the ear
Shokz makes headphones that leave the ear free. Two routes get there: bone conduction, where sound travels through the cheekbone, and open-ear audio, where the driver sits in front of the ear instead of inside it. Either way, what happens around you stays audible. The range is named accordingly: OpenRun Pro 2, plus OpenSwim Pro for the water.
Why this sits in a bike shop
Because a free ear on the bike is not comfort but part of the kit: you hear the car behind you, the pedestrian, the rider alongside. What suits you depends on your helmet — a band behind the head gets in the way of some helmet straps, a clip on the ear does not. So you try it here with your own helmet. On the legal side of road traffic we say nothing; that is not ours to advise on.
