Roval builds the wheels and cockpits for Specialized, under its own name and for any bike. Two routes, one goal: Rapide is calculated for speed on the flat, Alpinist for weight in the mountains. Terra sits between them, for when the surface changes. Which one makes your bike faster depends less on the spec sheet than on the roads you ride.
The tyre beside it decides too
A rim is not an ingredient but half a system — the other half is the tyre. Internal width, pressure and casing together determine how the wheel rolls and how it feels in a corner. That is why we talk about your tyres first and rim depth second.
